Restorative Approaches in Neighbourhoods

   
RSCIC are working with forward thinking partners on exciting new projects to introduce restorative approaches into neighbourhoods.  
Key RAiN Features:

Aims:

  • Better service to victims & community
  • Reduce Anti-social behaviour , signal crimes, local nuisance & disputes
    Tackle racist incidents
  • Engage community volunteers & local people in finding solutions to problems
    Increase numbers of incidents where ‘something is done about it!’
  • Increase community confidence and ‘buy-in’
  • Reduce demands on police resources

Train and brief all agencies necessary in the local neighbourhood in the use of restorative practice.

 

Train a cadre of volunteers, checked and cleared by police, to run and support restorative interventions!

We have commitment to introduce restorative approaches into neighbourhoods in 3 or 4 London Boroughs, 3 Sectors in Lancashire, 2 Sectors in Cheshire
1 Sector in Leicestershire and we are negotiating with 4 other police services
