As mentioned in our opening blog, the Restorative Solutions team has been very proactive in finding new ways to continue delivering our services throughout the pandemic - including full-day training sessions for students.
Here's our second example of how Restorative Solutions has adapted our approach in recent months...
Restorative Solutions recently delivered a full-day training session for psychotherapy and counselling students at the Albany Centre - a counselling and psychotherapy school located in St Albans, North London.
Our goal was to enable the students, in practice, to better support clients who have been victims of all crimes, including stalking, domestic abuse and violence and serious sexual harm with an introduction to restorative justice from Restorative Solutions' trained experts. Due to the current pandemic Restorative Solutions delivered the training remotely.
Following Restorative Solutions' introductory day of training, the students report being more aware of criminal justice systems and how those victims who are harmed might have their needs better met through restorative approaches, as well as psychotherapy and counselling.
